The Hiring Manager's Playbook for Experienced Professionals

Why I Built This

Solomon Rollins

My name is Solomon Rollins.

I spent 25 years as a hiring manager at Dell, Staples, and Signet Jewelers. I've conducted over 1,000 interviews. Reviewed thousands of applications. Made thousands of yes-or-no decisions.

I know exactly what makes a hiring manager stop scrolling and say, "I need to talk to this person."

But then I experienced the other side.

I found myself job searching for the first time in decades. I sent over 1,400 applications. Got ghosted by jobs I was overqualified for.

Felt invisible.

It was humbling. And it opened my eyes.

The system I helped build for 25 years does not always know how to read a long, nonlinear career. It can miss leadership, transferable skills, and real accomplishments when they are not clearly connected to the opportunity.

That affects experienced professionals at every stage, and it can be especially frustrating for people over 40 with decades of experience who cannot get a callback.

So instead of waiting for someone to give me a chance, I built something.

Rebootforge is the result.

It takes everything I know from 25 years of hiring and puts it in your hands. Resume tailoring. Match scoring. Interview prep. The insider knowledge that most people never get access to.

I'm not a resume template. I'm the person who made the hiring decisions. And now I'm helping you get in the room.

Who This Is For

RebootForge is for experienced professionals whose accomplishments are not translating into interviews. That includes people who are:

Actively job searching and need a resume that works now
Applying everywhere and hearing nothing back
Changing careers or industries and need to communicate transferable skills
Trying to make a broad or nonlinear career history feel focused
Worried about ageism or the "overqualified" label
Re-entering the workforce after a gap
Professionals 40+ who want their depth of experience to be understood, not overlooked

Your experience isn't the problem. How it's being translated might be.

The Truth About the ATS

There's a lot of fear-mongering about the ATS (Applicant Tracking System). Let's clear it up:

The ATS is just a file system. A digital filing cabinet.

It doesn't reject you. It stores your resume. The problem is when your resume isn't formatted correctly or lacks the right language — you become unsearchable. Invisible.

RebootForge solves this with a two-step approach:

1. We optimize for the system

Your resume is clean, searchable, and easy to find when recruiters go looking.

2. We design for the human

Once you're found, your resume has 30 seconds to make an impression. We make sure your story is clear, compelling, and impossible to ignore.
